MOTIVATION AND  PERFORMANCE AT DIVISION BINAMARGA OF PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN THE BENGKULU PROVINCE

This study aims to determine Employee Motivation and Performance at Division Binamarga of Public Works Department in the Province of Bengkulu. This study is a descriptive qualitative research that explores the problems or phenomena in the field, in order to gain an understanding of the problems happening. Samples taken was 10% of the population namely 41 people using purposive sampling. For getting information on motivation and performance, researchers also conducted interviews to, support and strengthen the research results obtained from distributing questionnaires to employees in field of people Binamarga Public Works Department in the Province of Bengkulu. The descriptive analysis conducted to explain or describe the characteristics of each variable studied. Then qualitative data analysis is done, namely: reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Motivation of Employee at Binamarga Public Works Department Bengkulu Province is good enough, this is because employees are motivated to carry out the construction of roads and bridges good as possible, and employees already have incentives to implement the construction of roads and bridges. Similarly, employee performance has been categorized good. This is because the successful implementation of the construction of roads and bridges that do employees support the passage of the Public Works Department activities and personnel Bengkulu province already has a budget execution documents as information for the construction of roads and bridges.
