The Implementation of Prospected Family Program in Bengkulu City

This study aimed to investigate the Implementation of Prospected Family Program in Bengkulu city in the matter of increasing social economic condition of very poor household that is out of expectation, improving the education level of children from very poor household, and also raising the health and nutrition of pregnant women, postpartum women, and under six year children from prospected family.

The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The informants of this study were those who directly involved in the Prospected Family Program in Bengkulu City, the staff of Social Department of Bengkulu city, supervisor of Prospected Family Program and the society that join the program. Those informants involved in this study were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis was done through some stages; reduction, display, and conclusion or verification.

The result of this study showed that the implementation of Prospected Family Program in the matter of increasing social economic condition of very poor household had been done but still faced some obstacles such as lack of active participation from the beneficiaries of Prospected Family Program in gathering and business group. The second result showed that the implementation of Prospected Family Program in the matter of improving the education level of children from very poor household had run optimally. The third one is the implementation of Prospected Family Program in the matter of raising the health and nutrition of pregnant women, postpartum women, and under six year children from very poor household was good enough. And the last is the implementation of Prospected Family Program in the matter of improving access and quality of education and health service especially for very poor household had been done well.
