The preliminary survey in Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu showed that there were still many officials did not follow the morning call, come late, and went home before the office time ended. The official who used to diligent to come and go home on time were frequently came late and went home before the requirement time. This incident is an evidence of the officials disappointment to their chairmasn style in managing the Puskesmas which refused advices from the official and also the unfair insentive share between the chairman and the official.
Leadership is an ability to persuade or influence others. A leader depands on his or her ability to manage and persuade. From that definition, it is known that exelent leadership needs a great deal of communication skill, even among the chairmans and the officials. Leadership style is the way used by some one in managing process which implemented well in his or her action as a leader to persuade others in order to do his or her command. Working anthusiasm is a great passion to work professionally as fast possible.
This research is a qualitative research which to investigation about the leadership style and working anthusiasm of the official conducted in Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu in 21 June – 21 July 2007. the respondent of this research are the officials with the total population about 22 respondent.
From the result of guided discussion, it is possible to conclude that the leadership style of the chairman of Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu tend to the kind of instruction or command it is proved by one way line communication style, decision made by the chairman, and the chairman refuses the advice from officials but it suddently changed in to delegation style when the official has to finish their problem in working finelly. Based the interview result with the chairman, guided discussion with the official of Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu and the field observation, the research cocluded that working anthusiasm of official Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu is low. It is proved by the absent, come late, and go home before the office time ended.
More over, the leadership style of the chairman of Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu is instruction or command and delegation style, and working anthusiasm of official Puskesmas Nusa Indah Bengkulu tend to decrease.
